Trust and Sponsored Content

Do you always know when you are reading sponsored content and are you sure you know what that phrase really means? Turns out there are many different definitions of what sponsored content is and what it means to the credibility of the information shared.

Contently  executed a research study of Internet users across all age groups and came up with some very interesting information.  They determined that there is  a general mistrust of sponsored media and media content in general – not a surprise.   And banners were actually preferred by many people because more often than not readers feel duped if they find out a brand influenced or developed the content of an article or video.
